Steady Eddie Shark-600 Ultralight
Following successful manned technology demonstration flights 2021, Turbulence Solutions has partnered with Shark Aero late 2022 to install the Turbulence Cancelling System on the Shark-600 ultralight aircraft.
Development of the Turbulence Cancelling System integration was followed by the first demonstrator Shark-600 end 2023, proving system effectiveness and comfort. A decision to transition to certified series production development was made in 2024 and already in 2025, during Aero Friedrichshafen, Turbulence Solutions’ own demonstrator aircraft “Steady Eddie” was presented, for which it was nominated for the Fliegermagazine award. First Sharks equipped with the Turbulence Cancelling System were sold shortly after and in 2026 the Turbulence Cancelled Shark received Austrian ultralight certification.
Steady Eddie is used as both as the test aircraft for certification purposes and as our demonstrator aircraft. It is travelling Europe, showcasing the technology. Strating from 2026, Turbulence Solutions can provide demonstration flights in the Turbulence Cancelled Steady Eddie. Test Flight Campaign
Steady Eddie underwent a lot of testing on ground, but mostly in the air. The flight testing demonstrated not only system performance, cancelling out any turbulence that the aircraft encountered but also showcased system safety and reliability. Numerous failure cases and conditions were simulated repeatedly, and the aircraft always remained safe and controllable. This underlines the no-hazard approach of the Turbulence Cancelling System, which was designed with safety in its core.

Our demo aircraft Steady Eddie often finds itself under the spotlight as it frequently attends fairs and airshows all over Europe. Its schedule is rather busy and sometimes unpredictable, but you can make sure to always find it at the following events:
